Kinesiology for Kids: Supporting Happy, Healthy Growth

Gentle, Holistic Support for Children’s Well-being

Every parent wants their child to feel happy, secure, and understood. But sometimes, stress, behavioral changes, or unexpected challenges leave us wondering how to best support them. Kinesiology offers a nurturing, safe, and non-invasive way to help children achieve balance, express themselves, and feel empowered. Whether they’re dealing with sleep disturbances, mood changes, or navigating new experiences, kinesiology provides a natural approach to help kids thrive.

What is Kinesiology for Kids?

Kinesiology for Kids uses gentle muscle testing and energy-balancing techniques to understand and release stress held within the body. It’s a safe, supportive way to address challenges like emotional stress, sleep issues, behavior changes, and energy imbalances. Because it’s non-invasive and adaptable, kinesiology is perfect for children of all ages, from babies to teens, helping them feel more grounded and resilient in a complex world.

Benefits of Kinesiology for Kids

Kinesiology can help children in a variety of ways, from emotional to physical well-being. Here are just a few of the key benefits:

  • Emotional Balance: Helps children understand and express their feelings, reducing anxiety and encouraging emotional growth.
  • Behavioral Support: Addresses underlying stressors that may contribute to behavioral challenges, promoting healthier responses.
  • Improved Sleep and Energy: Balances the body’s energy systems, often resulting in better sleep, improved energy, and a calmer mood.
  • Digestive and Dietary Support: Assists in understanding food sensitivities and digestive issues, which are often stress-related in children.
  • Parent-Child Connection: Builds a supportive space for children to feel seen, heard, and understood, fostering closer family relationships.

What to Expect in a Kids Kinesiology Session

Each session is uniquely tailored to your child’s needs and comfort level. Here’s what a typical session looks like:

  1. Warm Welcome & Comfort
We begin with a gentle introduction to help your child feel at ease. For younger children, this might include exploring the space or playing, so they feel comfortable and safe.
  2. Understanding Their Experience
We talk about what’s been on their mind or causing worry, using age-appropriate language to help them feel supported. This can include discussing physical sensations, thoughts, or emotions.
  3. Naming Emotions
Through gentle encouragement, your child is guided to identify and express their feelings, helping to uncover any underlying stress.
  4. Muscle Testing
Depending on your child’s age, we use either direct muscle testing or work through you as a surrogate to assess any stress or imbalances.
  5. Balancing & Clearing
Using gentle kinesiology techniques, we address and release stressors found during the session, supporting their mind and body to restore balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a session take, and what are the costs?

  • Kids (0-12 years): Sessions are 45 minutes and cost $110. A parent or guardian must be present throughout the session, as required for children in this age group.
  • Teens (13-17 years): Sessions are 60 minutes and cost $160. Parental or guardian consent is required for these sessions. While a parent or guardian must be available on the premises, they may remain in the room or wait nearby, depending on the teen’s comfort and preference.

How many sessions will my child need?
Each child is unique, but most benefit from an initial series of 2-3 sessions to restore balance. Follow-up sessions can be helpful as new needs arise, such as food sensitivities, school stress, or emotional challenges.

What if my child can’t participate directly?
For younger children or specific situations, we use ‘surrogate muscle testing.’ This technique allows us to achieve accurate results, even if your child is unable to engage directly.

What age groups do you work with?

  • Kids (0-12 years): Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of younger children with gentle techniques, using either direct or surrogate testing as needed. A parent or guardian must be present throughout the session.
  • Teens (13-17 years): Sessions are designed to support teens as they navigate more complex emotional and physical stresses. A parent or guardian’s consent is required, and while they must be available during the session, they may choose to stay in the room or wait nearby depending on the teen’s comfort.
